Nearly 5 Million Google Passwords Leaked on Russian Site.




The usernames and passwords of 4.93 million users were posted in a Russian Bitcoin security forum.
Almost 5 million usernames and passwords purportedly for Google accounts were uploaded to a Russian online forum by hackers late Tuesday.
Hackers appear to have dumped nearly 5 million Gmail usernames and passwords to a Russian bitcoin forum. Word first spread of the still-unconfirmed hack when a user posted a link to the log-in credentials.
The database (which International Business Times will not link to) contains 4.93 million Google accounts belonging to English-, Russian- and Spanish-speaking users. Posts on the Russian-language bitcoin security forum asserted that more than 60 percent of the identities in question were still in use and could be accessed immediately

In case you do not want to provide your email ID on this website, you can hide the last three characters of the username, for example abc***@gmail.com instead of abcdef@gmail.com. The website will then display all the Google usernames that start with 'abc'.
In case your password has been hacked, then immediately change it by answering the security questions that you set while signing up. Also, enable two-step verification for your account in Settings.

Even if your account has not been compromised, it is advisable to enable two-step verification.
