Blackhat is an upcoming action thriller film directed, produced, and co-written by Michael Mann. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tang Wei, Viola Davis, Holt McCallany, and Leehom Wang. The story of Blackhat follows the American and Chinese agencies working together to stop a conspiracy involving a cyber criminal. With the help of Nicholas Hathaway, the authorities pursue the mysterious suspect as the dangerous search leads them from Chicago to Hong Kong.

Blackhat is an upcoming 2015 American action thriller mystery film directed, produced, and co-written by Michael Mann. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tang Wei, Viola Davis, Holt McCallany, and Leehom Wang. It is set for release on January 16, 2015.

The film was tentatively titled Cyber, however the final title was revealed on July 26, 2014 during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con International, and it was being estimated that it might qualify for the Oscars. The first official trailer for the film was released on September 25, 2014.

A man is released from prison to help American and Chinese authorities pursue a mysterious cyber criminal. The dangerous search leads them from Chicago to Hong Kong.
